Integrated B2B, IA & UX

Following a review and consultation by QCDA, a new primary curriculum was announced, by the Department for Children, Schools and Families, for launch in September 2011. We delivered a revised visual identity for the primary curriculum, design and print of 75,000 handbooks, guidance publications, posters and postcards, conference materials, an online flash tool, strategic consultancy on the curriculum diagram, online navigable pdfs, web design and film caption and title design.

We developed an innovative diagram that explained the different elements of the curriculum, and delivered this as the centerpiece of an interactive Flash tool, which explained the benefits of the new curriculum.

The collateral was mailed to schools in mid February. Hits on the site increased by 60% and searching for the term ‘primary national curriculum’ increased by 40% on Google. In general searches for new primary curriculum were up by 200% compared to the previous 3 months when conferences were held and the website was launched. After only 1 month another 15,000 handbooks had to be printed due to the volume of orders.

My role involved creative direction and information architecture.
