I have created IA for a number of websites etc., but this project was more complex – IA driving behaviour change. BAA Capital Projects manages huge airport programmes such as building air bridges, retail environments and runway aprons. They do this by coordinating massive teams from multiple civil engineering contractors. How do you get them to work together to a common ethos and set of standards, so that it’s efficient and cost-effective? What type of screw do I need to hang a fire door?
We created a user-centered, rigorous set of tools integral to BAA Capital Projects’ Step-Change business transformation programme. We delivered a user-centered IA for the BAA intranet and technical authoring guidelines for information management. This formed the basis for their way ‘One Team’ of doing things.
